Understanding Conditioned Media
Conditioned media is described here as the immediate, non-vesicular category. That characterisation follows from the formulation — factors free in solution rather than membrane-enclosed — and is a proposed rationale rather than a measured property of this preparation.
Conditioned media is neither exosomes nor matrix. It is the soluble environment produced when cells release biological factors into their surrounding medium during culture — proteins, peptides, and signalling molecules present freely in solution, without vesicular encapsulation or structural scaffolding.
Where exosomes carry their cargo membrane-enclosed, and Wharton's jelly provides the structural environment in which signalling is received — conditioned media presents its factors free in solution. A different formulation. A different mode of delivery. A necessary complement.
Without vesicular encapsulation, the factors are presented free in solution rather than membrane-enclosed. RENOVÓ describes this as a formulation difference; it does not claim a measured difference in how long either persists.

CM-1 is the baseline conditioned media formulation within the RENOVÓ platform — a 1 mL soluble signalling environment composed of factors released by cells into their surrounding culture medium during a defined exposure period.

Unlike exosome formulations which isolate vesicular carriers, CM-1 retains the non-vesicular signalling components present in solution at the time of collection. It is positioned for contexts where a non-vesicular soluble preparation is the appropriate form, rather than a vesicle-isolated one.

Conditioned media is the culture supernatant retained without vesicle isolation. It contains the non-vesicular soluble fraction as collected; RENOVÓ does not claim a characterised or complete factor profile. The categories listed above are drawn from published characterisation of perinatal cell secretome and are not assayed per lot. These factors exist in solution without vesicular protection, which is a formulation distinction rather than a demonstrated pharmacokinetic one. CM-1 is positioned within the RENOVÓ system on that formulation distinction, not on a claimed duration of effect.

CM-2 is the expanded-volume conditioned media formulation within the RENOVÓ platform — providing double the soluble signal environment of CM-1 in a 2 mL format. It is positioned for environments where greater exposure to a non-vesicular signalling milieu is considered appropriate.

The signal profile of CM-2 is consistent with CM-1 — the distinction is volume and therefore the extent of the soluble signal environment delivered. Like CM-1, it contains no vesicles and no matrix material. Its function is to provide an expanded transient signalling environment within the tissue context being addressed.
