Exosomes are membrane-bound extracellular vesicles, characterised by tetraspanin surface markers (CD9, CD63, CD81) together with cytosolic markers including Alix, TSG101 and FLOT1.
EXO-90 is isolated from a different starting material to the Wharton's jelly line. Where EXO-10, EXO-30 and EXO-50 are derived from umbilical cord connective tissue matrix, EXO-90 is derived from umbilical cord blood plasma, endothelial stem cell derived. Source cell type determines vesicle cargo, so the two lines are supplied as distinct products rather than as variations of one another.
EXO-90 is the 90 billion particle presentation, supplied lyophilised in a 1mL format. Reconstitution, route and administration are determined by the treating clinician.
